Celebrating Dean Martin's Birthday

Yesterday, June 7th, was the 92nd birthday of Dean Martin. Happy Birthday to the King of Cool himself. Dino is definitely the coolest cat to ever live. There's never been anybody quite like him. Dino's one of a kind. I wish I just had a small percentage of the cool and hip swagger that Dino possesses. I would be a happy and content fella then. Dean Martin epitomizes what it means to be cool. He is the very definition of it. While many of us try to be cool, it oozes from Dino naturally. It's always been effortless with him. I raise a toast in honor of my favorite entertainer of all time. Cheers!

I came across this picture by Drew Friedman. I thought it would be great to share it with my pallies here.

There was quite the party this weekend to celebrate Dean Martin's birthday. I was trying to snap a picture of Dino, but he headed off with some hot chick. I can't blame him though. It was his birthday after all.

I did get a pic of Frank Sinatra and some other guy (I have no clue who he is -anybody know?). Frank was tending bar. He made up some pretty tasty drinks for all of us to enjoy.

Dino and so many of his guests entertained us with some wonderful cocktail music. I wish though I could carry a tune. Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong were part of the house band for the night.

P.S. Thanks to all those who offered words of advice to me. I really appreciate it very much. I don't usually talk about my personal life here at my blog, but this has been something deeply on my mind. I'm glad nobody was offended by me talking about such matters. Many of you, either here in comments or by email, offered some great advice.

It was nice to hear about how things have been going with all of you. Some of you had better news than others. I do care about all my friends here. I hope that things will go well for all of you. These are some difficult and worrisome times for us. I wish all of you the best. Take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
